Draft for review. Not legal advice.

Privacy policy

Prepared Brisbane, 18 October 2026, for Garry Jackson to check with a qualified person before this page is treated as final. The Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003 are the backdrop. This draft describes what the website actually does today.

Who we are

The ClearSite Company, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Operator: Garry Jackson. ABN: not yet recorded. Public email: garry@theclearsite.co.

Many small businesses under the $3 million annual turnover threshold are exempt from parts of the Privacy Act 1988. That may apply here. We are publishing this notice anyway, so people can see what we collect. Whether the exemption applies is not decided by this page.

What we collect

The claim form asks for your name, business name, phone, email, suburb, an optional note, and which demo you mean. The occasional-note form asks for an email and an optional name. Both forms ask you to tick a consent box. We also keep a technical log of the request (time, and the result of sending the form).

We don’t ask for card numbers on this website. Paying for a site opens a Stripe Payment Link, and Stripe collects the card details. We don’t use a third-party chatbot. We don’t run advertising trackers.

Why we collect it

Claim details are so Garry Jackson can reply about a website you have looked at. Newsletter details are so we can send the occasional note you asked for. We don’t sell personal information.

Spam Act 2003

Commercial email needs consent, identification, and a working unsubscribe. We only add someone to the note list if they tick the box. Messages will name The ClearSite Company and tell you how to stop. You can ask to be removed by writing to garry@theclearsite.co or by using the claim form.

Where it is stored

Today, a submission is written to the website log and, when the server disk allows, to a file on that server. On Vercel the disk does not keep files permanently, so the log is the copy that lasts until a mailbox or CRM is connected. The place to connect one is getLeadSink() in lib/leads.ts.

If the site is hosted on Vercel, that processing can happen outside Australia, including in the United States. Say so to anyone who asks where their details go.

Access, correction, deletion

Ask via the claim form or garry@theclearsite.co and we will correct or delete what we hold about you, unless we need to keep a record of a transaction. There is no customer account on this site.
